Hungry Bear Diner in Lac La Hache

It's been awhile since i was here last probably 5 years an the food was fantastic then, so wanted to see if it was still great. So i stopped in last night an had the small roast beef dinner an was absolutely amazing, today i had the loaded beef dip an wow. Great prices am so much great food, my server was Pam an she is fantastic an u don't have to wait long for your food either.

Awesome breakfast and lunch. Portions are huge, will fill even the biggest appetites. Also hands down the best Monte Cristo in the cariboo👍👍👍

Awesome staff, fantastic food and great price. Been a long time since we found a place who can make a real Clubhouse sandwich. Thanks guys 😀😍

Super friendly waitress, fast service, gigantic portions. I've previously heard many rave reviews of great food. I was disappointed in the Corn Chowder as it was very, very thick and not much flavor.

This loaded burger was fabulous!!! The fries were hand cut and delicious. Our server Danica was wonderful. Even helping us find the news on the TV. We longhaul all over North America and there are NOT enough places like this. Thanks for a relaxing break and a delicious meal. Easy 10 stars.

I never had a bad meal there ever was the best down the highway, The breakfasts are fabulous and their lunches in the soups are just amazing, Suppers wow wow that’s all I can say to that it’s always a great time to stop there and have a good chinwag with friends I’ve known him for years

Split pea soup was good. My husband ordered fish and chips which was good. I had the 3 piece chicken, potato wedges, and corn. The chicken was fine but no real seasoning in the coating. It wasn't overcooked. I was disappointed that my potato wedges were covered in a thick dark gravy that was very bland. I'm pretty sure it was a premix. I asked if I could have wedges with no gravy and was told that's just how it comes, so it was eat it or leave it. : (. Didn't bother to tell her that the corn had cold spots. Won't stop here again.

Great food! Fast friendly service! Reasonable prices! One of the only restaurants between Williams Lake BC and 100 Mile House BC open to serve you breakfast, lunch and supper.... Not to forget about yummy desserts too!!!

Was in need of a good meal on our road trip, and this place definitely delivered. Fantastic homemade meals, good service, and a fair price.I ordered the absolutely loaded burger, and damn, they aren't lying with the name. Almost not enough bun for the toppings. Big, fresh made patty. Side of onion rings, battered and cooked perfectly.Great little restaurant!

One of the best ham/cheese and mushroom omelette I have ever had...awesome. small cafe on the side of the road with ample parking for cars and motorhomes, even if you are towing. Easy in and out. Super busy the Sunday morning we stopped...worth the wait. Be sure and bring your appetite! I passed on the home made hashbrowns because I had been warned of the serving size, but tasted my husbands....fabulous. staff is cheerful and friendly. Highly recommend.

Coming home from 150mile ice fishing vacation, we stopped in Lac LA Hache for some breakfast at a random spot we saw as we coasted by! Looked intriguing so figured we'd try it out! It didn't disappoint! The portions were HUGE and the service was super friendly! Very home restaurant feel which was awesome! Worth a stop if you are ever on that hwy!

When I was driving through Lac La Hache for a Saturday Drive. I went into Hungry Bear Diner just to look inside. When I got into the Diner I got service like I've never gotten before. Very respectful and they answered all my questions. When I looked at the menu not very hungry I couldn't pass up the delicious food with good prices. I knew I couldn't leave with an empty stomach. Even with this pandemic happening they still had tables and chairs outside with a structure building protecting us from the rain. To any of you who want something delicious to eat stop in at the Hungry Bear Diner. You will not regret it, I know I didnt. I can't wait until the next time!
